Last Thursday diet doctor Dr. Atkins passed away after being in a coma after a fall. He was partly responsible for my weight loss.
I have incorporated bits from many diets into my own customized diet, but every morning to this day I start off with an Atkins low carb diet shake. Once you hit your goal, you can never slack off. I call it maintenance. So, here is a "Hello" to you Dr. Atkins in your after life.

With the help of the following I am down to my fighting weight of 102.5 lb.:
Dr. Atkins diet shake and using a less vigorous carb (carbohydrate) cutting plan than he had written about. I did cut potatoes and white pasta out of my diet, cut way down on bread. But I did keep a minimum of the following - translation: very, very small portions of brown rice, whole grain cereals and whole grain breads/pasta. And I kept fruits and vegetables as a main part of my diet.

My gynecologist, who discovered a physical imbalance that has caused me a great deal of pain and many problems for years.

A wellness clinic, that showed me that I could use my brain to control my thoughts on food and myself. That I could meditate myself to better health (this is not easy for someone, me, who has trouble concentrating for too long).

And finally, my own intelligence, to know that the reason why many people loose weight and gain it back, is because they go back to their old habits. Even when you are thin, you have to think of yourself as being overweight and keep to your maintenance diet plan, only straying occasionally.
