BioDian Parkinson, a marine brat born in North Carolina and raised in Virginia, turned to beauty pageants to escape her regimented childhood. She became Miss USA in 1965 and then runner-up in the Miss World Pageant, which opened the doors for her. This led to a Vietnam USO tour with Bob Hope and a fashion career. Her 1971 Cosmopolitan cover was very popular. She also appeared in several commercial print ads. Then in 1975 she landed on The Price Is Right and the rest is history as fans breathlessly waited to get a glimpse of curvy Dian in a bathing suit or bikini. Her fans dreamed of seeing 'more' of her and their dreams came true when she posed for Playboy. Dian appeared in two very popular Playboy pictorials, a newsstand special devoted entirely to her and a Playboy video. In the eighties she appeared as a featured guest on TV shows like "Vegas".
At this point, Dian has retired from show biz and her last entertainment endeavor was posing for the Dynasty pinup book and the "Dian and Monique" video that documented the pinup photo shoot.
